KTLA is a historic news powerhouse, with more than 86 hours of live and local news each week. According to U. S. News & World Report, although the City of Angels is characterized as both a glamorous show business town and a traffic-gnarled metropolis, the truth about America’s second-largest metropolitan area is that it’s simultaneously both and neither. Ask anyone why they live in Los Angeles and a familiar cliche will emerge: “Los Angeles is the place where dreams come true.”

This intoxicating mix of free-spirited hope and relentless ambition is the defining characteristic of Los Angeles residents, who call themselves Angelenos. Freeways take residents between coastal beaches, rugged mountains, tree-lined forests and stark deserts all within an hour of the downtown area.

WRAL, Capitol Broadcasting’s NBC affiliate in Raleigh, N.C. (DMA 24) is looking for a TV news producer. WRAL is a multiplatform newsroom. Producers will be asked to engage in discussions about news coverage on WRAL, WRAL.com and social media. Meshing with the station’s team is as important as your skills. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill are known for their research/technology roots and collegiate rivalries, according to U. S. News & World Report, which ranks Raleigh as the 10th Best Place to Live in the country. Raleigh, known as the city of oaks for its many oak trees that line the streets,  is the state capitol, and the second largest city in North Carolina. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill also encompass beautiful green spaces, family-friendly museums and a growing art and music scene defined by monthly gallery walks, summer concerts and music festivals.

Many people who call the Raleigh and Durham metro areas home are young, friendly, diverse and educated. They enjoy dining out in the more than 1,200 local restaurants in the Raleigh area, many of which have earned national accolades, and gathering over craft beers in one of the region’s many microbreweries. Raleigh is just a few hours west of the Atlantic Ocean, only a couple hours from the mountains if you enjoy skiing or snowboarding.

The median home price is about $250,000 and median rent is less than $1,000.
