Netflix’s New Releases Coming in November 2020

Netflix is getting into the holiday spirit early this November, dropping a number of Christmas-themed titles down the chimney for subscribers.

Festive original films hitting the streamer this month include Operation Christmas Drop, Alien Xmas, Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square and sequels to The Christmas Chronicles and The Princess Switch.

On Nov. 13, Netflix will release the musical Jingle Jangle, which follows toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker) as his most prized creation is stolen by his trusted apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key) and his granddaughter (newcomer Madalen Mills) has to use a long-forgotten invention to make things right. The film is written and directed by David E. Talbert and features music from Usher, John Legend and others.

Holiday TV series hitting the streamer include festive decorating series Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas, the second season of Sugar Rush Christmas and the New York City-set romance Dash & Lily, based on the young adult book series Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares.

In terms of non-holiday content, the fourth season of Netflix’s British royal drama The Crown will arrive on Nov. 15, with the upcoming set of episodes exploring Margaret Thatcher’s reign as the U.K.’s first female prime minister and Princess Diana’s relationship with Prince Charles. In time for Thanksgiving, the streamer will release Ron Howard’s Glenn Close- and Amy Adams-starring family drama, Hillbilly Elegy, based on J.D. Vance’s bestselling memoir. And Netflix’s Shawn Mendes documentary In Wonder and Sophia Loren starrer The Life Ahead will start streaming in November.

Library films being added to Netflix over the month include A Clockwork Orange, Boyz n the Hood, Easy A, The Next Karate Kid, Snowden, Yes Man, Fruitvale Station, Loving, V for Vendetta and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

On the TV side, the streamer is adding all three seasons of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, the latest season of American Horror Story and two seasons each of Survivor and America’s Next Top Model. And Netflix subscribers won’t have to wait any longer to watch Dawson’s Creek, with all six seasons of the beloved coming-of-age series — starring James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams — arriving at the beginning of the month.
