Help Save Local Movie Theaters
The COVID-19 pandemic has put movie theaters across the country at risk of going dark for good. From small independent screens to nationwide exhibitors, our local theaters employ over 153,000 people and have formed a cornerstone of the American experience for generations.
On December 21, 2020, Congress passed legislation including $15 billion in grants for small and mid-sized movie theater companies. While this lifeline will help many theaters bridge the crisis, we still need assistance for companies left out of this program so that we can preserve our local theaters and the jobs they provide.
